Chadron State more efficient than Fort Lewis volleyball in win

FLC volleyball can’t keep up with Chadron State

Chadron State operated a more terminal offense than Fort Lewis in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-21) sweep Friday in Chadron, Nebraska.

The Eagles hit .236 compared to .107 for the Skyhawks on 123 attack attempts vs. 122.

Chadron State (2-7, 1-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) finished with 46 kills, led by Rudy Leasau’s 10.

Both teams finished with 17 attack errors, which lead to Chadron State’s 63-54 advantage in digs.

FLC Sophomore Alyssa Cortez and freshman Matisse Monty led FLC (3-6, 0-1 RMAC) with seven kills each, and Monty had 17 digs to lead the team.

Skyhawks’ all-conference libero Ally Dell’Amico picked up 16 digs and a kill.

FLC freshman setter Kendra Swackenberg took the lead in the Skyhawks’ 6-2 offense with 14 assists, while Delaney Scanlan had 11.

The Skyhawks next play at Regis at 5 p.m. Saturday.
