50 years ago: A “runaway driver-less car” with the motor running rolled across a street in Cortez and crashed into a gasoline pump at a service station.

25 years ago: Someone threw a rock through a car window on the 900 block of Narrow Gauge Avenue. Damages amounted to $200.
