‘Better options’ than Boebert

Recently, Rep. Lauren Boebert voted to cut all funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Not just reduce their budgets, but pull all funding from these programs.

Boebert proclaims to be a big supporter of the arts. Campaign manager Drew Sexton said, “Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ”Beetlejuice.“

We all know that she was somewhat more than enthusiastic during this performance, so much so that she was asked to leave. This is unbecoming behavior and reflects poorly on the state of Colorado and, in particular, Third Congressional District voters, who placed her in office.

There will be better options in 2024 and we owe it to ourselves to take them. Consider your vote wisely next time around.
