El Moro Spirits and Tavern to host 2nd annual CRAFT pairing Dec. 7

El Moro Spirits and Tavern will host the second annual CRAFT, an evening of fine food and craft beer pairings from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 7. The restaurant will be closed to the public for the evening.

“This is an opportunity for our creative team to demonstrate their culinary expertise,” said Dave Woodruff, El Moro’s general manager, in a news release. “CRAFT will feature six stations, each with a creative El Moro food offering paired with one of Ska Brewing Co.’s craft beers.”

The event will offer a cocktail party-type atmosphere, with guests invited to move among the various stations staffed with those knowledgeable about both the food and beers.

Executive Chef Sean Clark and Chefs John Feely, Jake Bryant and Jesse Burnett have overseen development of the CRAFT menu:

Sous Vide Pork Belly Steamed Bun BLT (paired with True Blonde)Mini Champagne Poached Caramel Apples with Maldon Sea Salt (paired with Sour Apple Gose)Rosemary Spent Grain Cracker, Derby Sage Cheese, Grapefruit Jam (paired with Euphoria)Seared Turduckin Batonnet, Savory Stuffing Waffle, Gravy Fountain (paired with Busternut Brown)Mango Curry Shrimp Ceviche, Beet Tostada (paired with DHPA)Red Chile Beef Vol au Vent (paired with Rye Barrel Aged Stout)Cost is $45 per person for unlimited food and beers. Tickets are available at El Moro Spirits and Tavern, 945 Main Ave. The event is open to those age 21 and older.
