A woman who was killed in a car accident Friday afternoon has been identified as Hesperus resident Phyllis Lee, said La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith. The accident occurred on Colorado Highway 140 near mile marker 13, about 13 miles north of the New Mexico state line and just north of County Road 128.

Smith said Lee was in her 70s.
