HGTV paid a visit to La Plata County this week to film a few of the area’s more rustic homes for an episode of “Log Cabin Living.”

The channel, which broadcasts shows focused on home improvements and remodels, tagged along with buyers to three log cabins in the county.

Previous episodes of “Log Cabin Living” have followed families that aim to abandon city life as they look at cabins from the western Cascade Range to the mountains of northern Georgia.

Viewers will be able to get a glimpse of the featured cabins in an episode to be aired in early 2017.
