Shabbat morning service to be held at Har Shalom

A Shabbat morning service with Eli Herb will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the Congregation Har Shalom, 2537 County Road 203.

The Shabbat services will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Musical instruments will enhance prayer as people move through a gentle and meditative service. A Torah service will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After a reading from the Torah, people will engage in a spirited, thoughtful, open and inclusive discussion.

A potluck lunch will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Dishes can have meat, but do not mix milk and meat, and nonkosher meats aren’t allowed.

‘Young at Heart’ to perform in Bayfield

Pine Valley Church will present “Young at Heart” in concert and an ice-cream social at 6 p.m. July 21 at 1328 County Road 501 in Bayfield.

The Young at Heart Choir (about 90 seniors) will share the gospel message through song and skit. Young at Heart concerts are a mix of novelty numbers, humor, testimonies, inspirational hymns and special music arrangements.

Ice cream and cookies will be served immediately after the performance.
