San Juan Basin Public Health reminds residents open enrollment for health insurance will continue through Jan. 15.

People and families can get insurance through Connect for Health Colorado, as well as financial help to pay for it.

After Jan. 15, enrollment will be available only to people with certain life-changing events, such as having a child or losing employer-offered insurance until next November.

The health department can provide free help to understand insurance options as well as financial assistance opportunities.
