Trump’s business record not inspiring

Some folks forgive Trump for having no governing or military experience, believing his success in business is good enough. Donald is very rich. However, since the Trump organization is a private entity, there isn’t much verifiable financial information. We know Trump’s casinos in Atlantic City were in bankruptcy six times.

We also know Donald has been involved in thousands of lawsuits. Students are suing Trump University claiming they were swindled out of thousands of dollars. The Trump Foundation, a professed charity to which Trump personally has contributed nothing since 2008, is in violation of federal tax law for “self-dealing.” Seems Donald was reimbursed over $250,000 for personal items out of “charity” funds. In 1998, the Trump organization paid a $68,000 consultant’s bill for travel to Cuba, a clear violation of the strict U.S. trade embargo that prohibited Americans from spending any money in Cuba. There’s your great businessman!

Unlike every presidential candidate in the last 40 years, Trump refuses to release his tax returns. They would be most enlightening. Donald claims he’s under audit. This this can’t be proved and the IRS states that there is nothing barring a taxpayer from revealing a return under audit. During the first debate Hillary argued “Maybe he doesn’t want the American people ... to know that he paid nothing in Federal taxes.” Trump boasted “that makes me smart!” Under Donald’s logic the rest of us who do pay taxes are suckers!

So you think super businessman Donald will create a lot of great jobs? Really? In the real world, executives count employees as expense items necessary to make profits.

Donald says wages in America are too high. Think he cares if you’re struggling and haven’t had a raise in a long time? He was born wealthy, started out as the boss and never put in a hard day’s labor. Remember Donald’s most famous line - “You’re fired!”
