Hybrid trucks, clean coal the answer

I’ve been reading many complaints about the coal trucks coming from the King Coal Mine, and the dust they kick up, the traffic, etc. My solution requires some thinking.

Part 1: Convert the trucks to hybrids, similar to the new Freightliner hybrid but different enough not to encroach on patents. They already are nearly brand-new trucks, and a hybrid drivetrain would bring international demand to buy these trucks, therefore fewer trucks on our roads.

Part 2: Establish a clean-burning coal plant on the mine itself. Top universities around the world have been developing tech such as “CO² scrubber (that) turns carbon emissions into building materials” and “isobutanol cyanobacteria” run in tandem, you get clean coal energy and fuel (Google the aforementioned quotations to find out more). A facility that efficiently applies these techniques could produce fuel, energy and more jobs, real jobs – a true triple threat that adds much-needed competition to the energy and transportation industries.

More work still needs to be done on developing a scalable process, but take a look at the numbers, and the possibility becomes apparent. Those interested in this or a similar venture, please shoot an email to: gmurc@hotmail.com.
