The Alamosa Mean Moose traveled to take on the Ignacio High School girls soccer team and finished the day with a 10-0 win.
Alamosa (3-4, 1-4 3A Region 5 League) then had five scores from Darby Bolt. Bolt scored in the 12th, 19th and 29th minutes. She also scored on penalty kicks at the 56th and 62nd minutes. Elise Tolley had two goals, which were scored at the 60th and 80th minutes.
Kathleen Parkins opened the game with the first goal of the match at the fifth minute, which was assisted by Jaqueline Palacios. Parkins added two more goals by game’s end.
Gibrian Silva had 18 saves for Ignacio in her first ever game playing goalkeeper.
Ignacio was down to only two substitutes because of injuries.
“The girls played a good first half,” head coach Oscar Cosio said. “We just had a lot of injuries. It’s tough to overcome.”
Ignacio will host Center on Saturday.
