If I could find a politician who would sponsor and push through legislation that strictly limits former political office holders of all levels to the same retirement and health benefits they pompously “provide” for our veterans and senior citizens instead of the unreal benefits voted in for themselves, perhaps my responsibility to vote would feel more like the pleasurable privilege it should be than like a nose-holding chore plagued with cynicism and distrust.
