In a time of political tension, I find it comforting to know that our community of Durango has a great group of candidates running for city council, candidates with the experience, determination, and commitment to our beautiful community.
I pride myself in being a Durango resident and active community member for over 15 years. I strongly believe that our community has been blessed to have so many forward-thinking leaders nurturing and protecting the spirit and character of Durango.
It is with this same theme that I strongly encourage the voters of Durango to vote for Chris Bettin for city council in the April election.
I have worked with Chris in a variety of capacities over the last few years, and am always astounded by his work ethic. His dedication, commitment, and the preparation he puts into to each project he works on is amazing. I know that if elected, Chris will put that same level of commitment into our city. I strongly believe that having Chris as a part of our city council will ensure that the council will address the many upcoming issues in a reasonable, researched, fair, and thoughtful manner.
His focus and stance on housing opportunities, smart growth and infrastructure are exactly what Durango needs. More importantly, I believe that his values of diversity and inclusiveness are what we need representing our community. His focus on growing the diversity of our community will strengthen and help to preserve the quality of life of our amazing city.
For these reasons, I will be casting a vote for Chris Bettin for Durango City Council in the upcoming election.
