A total of 25 Durango girls qualified and participated in the CARA Gymnastics State Championships in Aurora, pulling in a handful of medals in the process.
The gymnasts qualified through competition in six events in the Denver area throughout the summer months.
In Level 4 compulsory gymnastics, 8-year-old Mason Rowland won gold in the vault and in the all-around to go with a fourth in the bars and fifth in the balance beam.
In the 10-year-old division, Sydney Summers brought home silver in the vault, while Morgan Wells dis the same in the balance beam while also placing fourth in the all-around. Matia Nargi picked up a bronze medal in the vault and finished sixth on the balance beam.
Madeline Lochte-Bono, 10, was the gold medalist in the all-around, second on the balance beam, third on the bars and sixth in the vault in the Level 5 compulsory category.
Elsie Cady was third on the uneven bars, and Allison Stephens was fourth in both the vault and balance beam in the 11-year-old category.
Alison Hall picked up a second place in vault, fourth in the all-around and sixth in the balance beam in the 13-16 age group, while Lucy Hall and Makayla Carroll participated in the Super 5 category, with Carroll finishing fourth in the balance beam.
Grace Meyer, 11, took the gold in vault and sixth in all-around in the Optional 1 division, and 12-year-old Kyle Behn was third in the all-around and bars, fourth in the vault and fifth on the balance beam in the same category.
Ryann Daly was sixth on the bars and Heather Piccoli fifth in floor exercise in the 13-18 Optional 2 division, while Camryn Mata was second on the balance beam, fourth in the all-around and fifth in vault.
