The Bureau of Reclamation announced it will continue negotiating a proposed repayment contract with the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe for the Animas-La Plata Project, which involves the statutory allocation of project water for the tribe.
A second negotiation meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Dolores Water Conservancy District office, 60 Cactus St., in Cortez.
The proposed contract would provide storage and delivery of project water in exchange for payment of operation and maintenance costs.
