These closures will be in effect in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday:
Nov. 20-24: Durango School District 9-R schools; Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary branch library, 11274 Highway 140, Hesperus; Sunnyside Elementary branch library, 75 County Road 218.Nov. 22-24: Durango Gymnastics, 144 Bodo Drive.Nov. 23-24: City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.; River City Hall, 1235 Camino del Rio; La Plata County Veterans Services Office, 1970 East Third Ave., Suite 102; Durango-La Plata County Airport administration office, 1000 Airport Road; Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.; Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road; Durango Recycling Center, 710 Tech Center Drive.Nov. 23: Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.; Chapman Hill, 500 Florida Road; Durango Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St.Durango-La Plata County Airport will be open for regularly-scheduled flights. The airport administration office will be closed Thursday and Friday.Durango Transit Center will not operate Thursday, limited weekend service will be offered Friday and the evening bus will not run Nov. 20-25.Commercial and residential trash and recycling services will not be offered Thursday. Commercial trash and recycling and residential trash for Thursday will be picked up the next day. Residential recycling will be picked up the next Thursday, Nov. 30. Free metered parking will be available Thursday for Thanksgiving.
