Durango Arts Center will open the group interactive sculpture exhibit “Down the Rabbit Hole” from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at 802 East Second Ave. The exhibit will remain on display through March 25 in the Barbara Conrad Gallery.
The exhibit features a collaborative installation by Sandra Butler, Jeff Madeen and Joan Levine Russell, Mike Breiger, Aaron Schmitt, Debra Greenblatt, Meredith Rose, Minna Jain, Crystal Hartman, Scott Dye, Shay Lopez, Amy Felker, Jules Masterjohn, Maureen May, Miki Harder, Tori Williams, Rebecca Barfoot, Karen Pittman, Tim Kapustka, George Schmidt and Adriana Cubides.
Navigating through this world sometimes takes us down the “rabbit hole,” a metaphor for the conceptual path, which is thought to lead to the true nature of reality. The exhibit exemplifies some of the situations we are presented with in this world and remind us to be aware of our responses.
