University Women to hold fall luncheon

The Durango branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its annual fall luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 7 in the ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

Rep. Barbara McLachlan, D-Durango, who serves on the Colorado State Legislature Education Committee, will speak about education.

The luncheon is also a scholarship fundraiser for the 2017 National Conference of College Women Student Leaders at University of Maryland. Fort Lewis College students who attended the 2016 conference will share their experiences at the meeting.

Tickets are $45 for general admission, and student tickets are $20.

Reservations are required by Wednesday, Oct. 4.
