Unlike many charities, DU has consistently averaged 84 to 88 percent of all funds received being invested directly into their mission, of refurbishing, conserving, protecting wetlands and associated grassland for wildlife and people. Every dollar invested is matched a minimum of three or more times by DU major partners.
DU has conserved 13.6 million acres since its inception in 1937, which provide habitat for over 900 species of wildlife.
Wetlands are nature's natural filter, providing clean water for wildlife and people. Additionally they provide significant flood surge protection.
