AURORA – A fumbled gun ended an attempted robbery in suburban Denver.
Surveillance video shows the man pulling the weapon – which turned out to be an airsoft gun – out of his waistband and then quickly dropping it behind the counter at an E-Cig of Denver store in Aurora on Sunday. The would-be robber started to hop over to get it but the employee picked it up and he bolted.
The unidentified suspect was wearing sunglasses, a Colorado Rockies hat, Denver Broncos sweatshirt as well as gloves.
Aurora police spokeswoman Crystal McCoy said Tuesday no arrests have been made.
Store owner Chris Burgess told KDVR-TV the suspect likely never held up a store and hopefully won’t do it again now.
