The Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave, will undergo exterior repairs and maintenance Wednesday through Monday.
Maintenance crews will use an aerial lift to conduct repairs and upkeep on the building’s roof. Access to portions of the library where work is being performed will be limited.
A street closure may be necessary when work is being performed on the entry side of the library. All parking will remain available. Diesel fumes from the aerial lift may affect air quality in and around the library.
In addition, on Wednesday, crews will replace a portion of the canopy over the outdoor book drop. Closure of the book drop road will be necessary to complete this work. Work is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and should take four to five hours to complete.
