This is a war that we are fighting and it dismays me to see so many shirking their duty to defeat this enemy (“Deaths, body counts, published with glee,” June 17.)
They are willing to sacrifice the vulnerable because it inconveniences them. Sure, it’s inconvenient to wear a mask for 10 minutes in the grocery store; try wearing one for your 9-to-5 shift. Those workers are trying to protect us, protect them.
Please keep posting information regarding body counts, new cases and recovered cases and articles recounting recovered victims’ experience. Like all wars, we will feel the repercussions for years to come.
