The Women’s Resource Center would like to thank everyone who attended the July 18 community concert in the Secret Garden at the Rochester Hotel. We enjoyed a lovely evening listening to Music in the Mountain’s Julius Quartet Chamber and, fortunately, the weather cooperated even though there was a downpour before the event started.
We’d like to thank the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado for choosing us to participate in this concert series, which benefits 10 nonprofits in the community and promotes the music scene in Durango.
Thank you to the Rochester Hotel for a wonderful venue in the Secret Garden and the “Classy Lady” cocktail, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Four Corners Community Bank for sponsoring the event.

Four Corners Gem and Mineral Club recently held a very successful and well-attended 65th annual Gem and Mineral Show at La Plata County Fairgrounds. We would like to thank the businesses, club members and community volunteers that helped make the show such a success.

Proceeds from the event and silent auction go to club operation costs and its annual scholarship, which is awarded to a Fort Lewis College geosciences student.

The family of Gordon and Becky Myers wish to thank the many friends, acquaintances and extended family that shared our loss of Gordon.
