Reference is made to a letter sent to your publication by a reader regarding the recent changes made by the Herald, whereby the puzzles were enlarged allowing for easier reading of clues and application of answers.
My wife and I are new residents of Durango and were amazed to see the Herald’s improvements in news coverage, editorials, and overall volume of community events and services, professionally presented, since we were here last, some 10 years ago – with one exception, the minute printing of your crossword, sodoku and jumbo puzzles.
I intended to complain to you of this neglect to aid the elderly and those with eyesight difficulties while enjoying doing the puzzles.
Obviously, your staff took the initiative to correct the oversight.
