Sincere thanks to the donors who supported our first crowd-funding campaign for Ballet Folklorico de Durango at Fort Lewis College. With your support, we surpassed our goal of raising $5,000 toward our dancer scholarships and to continue to run the program. Mil Gracias a todo por su apoyo.
Jerry Martinez and his amazing crew at CJ’s Diner created beautiful dishes and catered. Jerry is an important supporter of Ballet Folklorico. Other restaurants also contributed: Gazpacho’s, Ore House, Nanny’s Taqueria in Dolores, Taco Nayarit, Tequilas and Zia Taqueria.
Our largest donation of $1,500 was from Alpine Bank and their friendly senior vice-president Beth Drum. Your support of the Latino community and the Latino loyalty card are invaluable.
Other community members who donated to this cause are appreciated for being allies of our Hispano students. They include: Thad Trujillo/Wells Group, Dr. Jenni Trujillo/Tru-Learning LLC, and Geno Trujillo/Tru West Auto (formerly New Country Auto).
Our donors are listed on the donor wall at www.impact.fortlewis.edu. Many thanks also to the dancers and their families for fundraising.
While we met our $5,000 goal, we are still accepting donations any time through the FLC Foundation Office. Specify that your donation is for Ballet Folklorico.
