Center of Southwest Studies has updated display cases at Durango Public Library with fresh selections representing local culture and history.
The cases, located on the second floor, feature artwork, memorabilia and pieces highlighting the region’s ranching, archaeology and cycling traditions as well as the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The displays also showcase Southwest textile traditions and contemporary sculptures by Fort Lewis College alumni Terry Gasdia (Hopi/Akimel O’odahm).
