Our daughter joined the Peace Corps in 2007 and spent two years living in a small Albanian mountain community. We took the opportunity to visit her and can attest to the warmth and generosity of the Albanian people. At one time, and it still may be so, only a handful of countries would give Albanians a travel visa, so it is heartwarming to read a tribute to their effort to help Italy.
We see and read every day about the warmth and generosity of the people in Durango and all Southwest Colorado. We cannot begin to express our thanks to all of our front-line responders and volunteers risking their own health and that of their families to help our community get through this.
For those of us not on the front line, stay home, support a local business or food bank if you are in a position to do so and stay safe.
