50 years ago: “Nine-day measles – the hard kind – are abroad in the land, Dr. Arthur Warner, director of the Basin Health Unit said. Dr. Warner says the largest concentration of cases appears to be among students at Riverview school. He reminds parents there is a good vaccine which should be given to a child before the day he is exposed to measles. ... If the child has been exposed, there is a serum which lightens the case.”
25 years ago: “The federal government is considering sites for new offices for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation that would house up to 175 employees during Animas-La Plata Project construction. The office building would be 45,330 square feet on about 5 acres of land, including a 75,000-square-foot storage yard.”
