Sen. Corey Gardner defended his refusal to convict President Donald Trump by saying the Democrats didn’t present enough evidence, while mocking and blocking their attempts to call John Bolton and others to testify.
The case as presented was undeniable.
The Republicans broke their oath to weigh the evidence objectively, and continually shifted their demands of proof higher and higher.
Gardner goes on to say the remedy is the upcoming election, ignoring Trump’s blatant attempts to rig the vote.
How is it that the Ten Commandments only applies to Democrats, that deficits don’t count for Republicans and that destroying the foundations of our democracy is patriotism?
