50 years ago: The Durango High School band departed on buses for Flagstaff, Arizona, to participate in the Northern Arizona State Band Day. Students were lucky enough to go sightseeing at the Grand Canyon.
25 years ago: A man reported that he found evidence of arson on the outside of a house on Hawskill Road.
