Veterans honor brothers, sisters

The Memorial Day observation hosted by the Southern Ute Veterans' Association included a procession from Veterans' Park, where the program started, to the Bear Dance bridge to Ouray Memorial Cemetery. Shown here is the color guard on the bridge, where a memorial wreath was dropped into the Pine River to honor deceased veterans. Behind the U.S. flag is the tribal veterans' ceremonial Eagle Staff.
