Durango High School senior Matthew Lavengood is anxious to get the wrestling season going, and he aims on standing on the podium at the Pepsi Center on the final day of the season. He got his first chance to roll with opponents from other schools Friday night, when Durango hosted Bayfield, Dolores, Montezuma-Cortez and Pagosa Springs in an informal scrimmage. “The camps I’ve been going to all summer are going to pay off. I feel great, and I feel like everything is clicking. I feel like I’m going to do really well this season,” the son of Steve and Tamra Lavengood said.
