New Ignacio preschool opening in January

A new nonprofit Ignacio preschool opening in January 2019 and offering fee-based child care and early education services year-round for children ages 3 to 5 is accepting applications through Dec. 3.

The Ignacio Early Learning Program will offer preschool for 3- to 5-year-olds for $36 per day. The program will be offered in a licensed facility and staffed with experienced early childhood providers.

The program may include a toddler room if there is enough interest. Fees for children younger than 3 years would be $38 per day.

The preschool will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and will tentatively follow the Ignacio School District calendar. The preschool will run for the nine-month school year. An extended summer program will also be offered. More information on summer services will be available in the spring.

There is also a plan to offer an after-school program for kindergartners starting in the fall of 2019.
