San Juan Mountains Association will hold two educational hikes in May:
May 19, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Laurie Swisher, former San Juan National Forest old-growth coordinator, will lead a 3- to 4-mile hike on Jones Creek Trail in the Hermosa Creek special management area.May 22, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: A 3-mile hike will be held at Sand Canyon in the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.Cost is a $10 suggested donation.
