1:11 p.m. A man had a knife in his hand at Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.

3:32 p.m. Someone reported that a newspaper rack was stolen in front of Bread, 42 County Road 250.

4:12 p.m. Someone was flying a drone over the football field at Durango High School, 2390 Main Ave.

4:25 p.m. A man assaulted a child and then fled on a bike at Subway, 2101 Main Ave.

7:55 p.m. Three intoxicated men got into a gold minivan at Sizzling Siam, 519 Main Ave.

8:57 p.m. Some kind of white powder was found during a room search at Hilltop House, 1050 Avenida del Sol.

Saturday

1:33 a.m. An intoxicated driver who smelled of alcohol was arguing with employees at the McDonald’s drive-thru, 201 W. College Drive.

12:27 p.m. An intoxicated man was passed out on a bench at 1333 Camino del Rio. Police made an arrest.

3:16 p.m. Someone reported that about 50 students were visiting Lake Nighthorse.

5:26 p.m. A man was lying on the sidewalk and yelling at South City Market, 6 Town Plaza.

8 p.m. A belligerent man was yelling at people at Pet Haus, 1444 Main Ave.

8:47 p.m. Teenagers were being driven around on the roof of a Jeep in the parking lot of La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

10:42 p.m. Intoxicated people were throwing beer into the street at 1212 East Fourth Ave.

Sunday

1:43 p.m. A homeless man was chasing vehicles with a shopping cart at McDonald’s, 201 W. College Drive.

3:42 p.m. Someone reported that two men in a silver Ford truck were scamming people in the Walmart parking lot, 1155 South Camino del Rio.

4:53 p.m. A man was swinging around a metal pipe at the Shell gas station, 602 Camino del Rio.

5:18 p.m. Four to six people were smoking marijuana through a bong near Huck Finn Pond, 151 E. 16th St.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 40 calls Friday through Sunday, including four reports of smoke outside, three people who fell, two structure fires, two cardiac or respiratory arrests, a brush fire, one other type of fire, a chemical spill and one incident of animal bites or attacks.
