Here's the latest Saturday from 3A state baseball action from Joel Priest:
At Butch Butler Field in Greeley, BHS 4, UHS 5 with game ending in the bottom of the tenth inning on what I have heard was a crime of a call at home plate.
Way to gut it out anyway, Wolverines! Seven innings Friday and another 2.5 SAturday, three weather delays and two site changes...and STILL you did not break!
BHS versus Gilcrest Valley next on Monday, apparently, and I believe it will be at Butler (practically a home game for VHS). What a whacked-out weekend! Senior players, enjoy graduation. You all have undeniably earned it.
