I am quite disturbed by Allison Aichele taking credit for modernizing the county treasurer’s office. That claim is gross embellishment at best, and leaning toward intentional misrepresentation.
In public forums, Aichele has claimed she is responsible for taking the treasurer’s office from paper and typewriters to technical proficiency. However, our county’s budget (which she should be familiar with!) actually shows the county spent $139,767 in 2011-2012 on new computer equipment and software for the county treasurer’s office. That significant investment achieved the modernization Aichele credits to herself – but that investment and implementation took place three years prior to when Ms. Aichele took office!
Aichele has made no comparable investment during her term as treasurer, yet she’s asking to be re-elected for this accomplishment.
Let’s not re-elect a candidate who has accomplished so little she needs to take credit for the achievements of her predecessor!
