A snowy landscape and re-opened mountain passes will ring in the New Year, but this week's storm appears to be the last one in the area, at least for a little while.
While folks were still shoveling out from the Christmas snows that blanketed Southwest Colorado, the latest snows in the area arrived on Tuesday and continued through Wednesday. While some snow is possible on Friday and Saturday, Sunday is forecast to be sunny, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, with highs moving into the 30s. Clear weather is forecast through the first part of next week.
