The second annual Bayberry Jam starts at noon tomorrow at Eagle Park in Bayfield and lasts until 6 p.m.
The event features local music and supports music education and programs in Bayfield.
From noon to 1 p.m., there will be various school ensembles from all of the local schools. At 1:30, the BHS jazz band, the Outlier All-Stars, will perform. Also set to perform are the Broken Harps Brothers, featuring all BHS alumni - Franklin Harvey, Tyson Caviness, Marcus Binkley and David Firkins. Mike Maddon is playing at 2 p.m. followed by local favorites the Jelly Belly Boogie Band and Wild Country at 3 p.m. Also are on tap are the Transplants at 4 p.m. and Carbon Red, featuring Sarah Aamot at 5 p.m.
Bayberry Jan is sponsored by the Bayfield Association for the Advancement of Music.
"We are lucky to live in a place where talent is abundant, and who are able to participate in our annual event," says Brooke Smith, the treasurer for BAAM. "Last year we were able to raise over $4,000 to support local music programs.
Food vendors include Bottom Shelf Brewery, Lydia's Sweet Treats, and Macho's Mexican Food. Activities including the Southwest AG Kiddie train, a bouncy house, horseshoes and pie auction. the BE FRANK foundation and Pine River Library will have booths, as well.
This is a family-friendly event. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and free for kids under five and are available at the park.
