Crews to spray weeds, conduct turf fertilization in Durango

To improve the quality of rights of way, parks and open spaces in the Durango park system, the city recently contracted with Scott’s Pro-Lawn to conduct turf fertilization and noxious weed abatement, weather permitting, at two locations in Durango:

Sunday, Oct. 8: Turf fertilization will occur at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.Monday, Oct. 9: Crews will spray for noxious weed abatement in Rank Park, 149 E. 22nd St.Vessel Broadleaf and Q4 Turf herbicides will be used.

Weed-control methods are tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency, and Scott’s Pro-Lawn is licensed by Colorado Department of Agriculture.
