Check the number of anti-Trump cartoons and syndicated columns that have run in the Herald since and even before,Trump was elected. One column that really sticks out was written by an Ignacio rancher who opined that those who voted for Trump were like the Germans that supported Hitler in the 1930s.
My Facebook page was created so that I would be able to respond online to various forums. There are posts from the “resist” movement and a host of people that use poor grammar to call me a racist, homophobe, etc.
The political hate factor in La Plata County is due to a biased media, new residents from blue states and the lack of good manners on social media.
