I support Barbara Noseworthy and Kim Baxter for City Council because they are skillful, thoughtful, and both want to fix our financial situation. Both have the financial and executive backgrounds to do it.
Their desire for a broad-based finance committee as a resource to the City Council demonstrates their knowledge of how change can occur. And they listen.
Our current council seems oblivious to citizen views. Other than Melissa Youssef, council members ignored the feedback from the listening sessions after the council and city management’s November tax initiative disaster.
Both Kim and Barbara, along with Melissa Youssef, care about all citizens and want to find a compassionate solution to our homeless. The city needs a more caring approach to this vulnerable group.
Both Barbara and Kim will be a breath of fresh air and key to moving our town forward. These last two years with rising water and sewer fees, tax proposals, and less than compassionate care for our homeless have been difficult for all.
