I want all the special interest groups that are flooding my mailbox with their deceptive, useless, nauseating political attack advertising to stop, please, stop!
Those print ads clutter my mailbox and create an immense amount of paper waste. It has happened in every election cycle for the last several years and I’m sick of it. The ads are manipulative garbage. I “check the facts” as they say I should. In every case, I find that their interpretation of the bill has been manipulated so thoroughly that truth and realty simply do not exist anywhere on the ads.
Particularly offensive are claims that Scott Tipton is selling off our public lands to his financial supporters and J. Paul Brown is selling out our water to the Front Range and allowing what we have left to be polluted. Did anyone actually read and make any attempt to understand the bills cited? It seems clear the backers don’t care about the truth and are assuming that we are all too stupid to read the bills and understand what the ads are doing.
These attacks are serving only to convince me that I should be voting for the person they are attacking, because if critics have to descend to those depths of manipulation and resort to those lies, in reality, the person is probably doing a great job representing and protecting us.
I encourage everyone who is receiving this garbage in their mailbox to check the facts and question the validity of what has been stated and then vote for a candidate based on some sort of realistic and truthful measure.
