Welcome to Durango in Three Springs

The Grandview entrance to Durango deserves consideration. The San Juans already speak to you, with their magnificent splendor, as you round the curve on Camino Del Rio. Shouldn’t the city of Durango echo those splashes of beauty and grandeur with a “Welcome to Durango” sign?

Durango city limits are right at the corner of Three Springs Boulevard and U.S. 160. With the development of Hope Springs across the road and the eventual re-routing of Farmington Hill through the Bridge to Nowhere, this well-used, grand entrance to our city should be celebrated.

Why isn’t there a sign on the Bridge to Nowhere welcoming visitors to our city?

The bridges in Three Springs do present well-designed architecture and would be a splendid backdrop to an artistic greeting synchronized with the mountains’ glories.

And, yes, Three Springs is in the city limits.
