Thank you to The Durango Herald for publishing both the San Juan Basin snow graph and the Animas River flow graph this spring.
You met the interests of both the skiers and the rafters. Plus, it was interesting and educational to watch the interplay between the two figures. I hope there was a teacher or parent or two who brought it to the attention of our next generation of scientists.
Please run both graphs again every spring, even when there is not a monumental snowpack. We need to see both of these each year.
