Any momentum the Fort Lewis College volleyball team built with Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Colorado Mesa stalled against Western New Mexico. The Skyhawks fell 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-20) on Saturday in Whalen Gymnasium, halting a two-match winning streak.
FLC (8-17, 8-9 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) only hit .081 in the match and made 21 hitting errors.
Madi Bickle was the Skyhawks’ most consistent offensive threat with 10 kills and a .438 hitting percentage. She also added three blocks.
WNMU (21-5, 13-4 RMAC) won its fourth consecutive match behind 12 kills from Bobbi Bayer and 10 kills from Seluia Falealili.
