Trails 2000 has announced the 2019 National Trails Day celebration from 9 a.m. to noon June 1 at the Spurline trails in the Three Springs neighborhood.
The trailwork party will work toward connecting the Spurline trails with the Grandview trails. The work will include original construction, finish work and lopping. Trails 2000 will provide grilled hot dogs and bratwurst to all who register.
No experience is necessary, and Trails 2000 will provide the necessary instruction and safety tool talk, all tools, gloves, and water and lunch for the entire crew.
Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes or boots, long pants, shirt, sun hat and sunscreen and bring a water bottle and rain jacket.
