Jim McLaughlin takes advantage of beautiful weather Thursday, opening day at Hillcrest Golf Course. The driving range opened Thursday, and the full course will open today. The course will be open Fridays through Sundays. The weekend openings will continue through the month with weekly evaluations to see how the dry grass is holding up.
