I support YES on 1A for Durango.
We have one of the most beautiful places to live and work and raise families. To keep it that way and move forward, as some tax revenues decrease (oil and gas, retail, etc.), we need this very small increase to fund basic maintenance to the roads and improvements to roads and bike trails.
These things have a strong positive effect for the whole community.
I see this as a very conservative increase, proposed after careful work to balance the budget and the needs, as well as everyone’s desire for lower taxes.
I salute the City Council and those working on this measure and for a better future.
