City to discuss proposed traffic-signal project

The City of Durango and Russell Planning and Engineering will hold a second meeting about the proposed installation of a traffic signal at East Second Avenue and College Drive at 5:30 p.m. July 13, at the City Council Smith Chambers, 949 East Second Ave.

The project will include restriping on College Drive from East Third Avenue to Main Avenue to reduce the four traffic lanes down to three, as a safety precaution for pedestrians and cyclists and to allow traffic to turn more efficiently.

The existing configuration of East Second Avenue will not change.
